Speculative Design
A set of cards prompting users to speculate about the Welsh seaside town of Rhyl. Inspired by Situation Lab’s ‘The Thing From The Future’ card game, this version is redesigned around the town of Rhyl, it’s features and histories. The first round of speculation invited users - with varying knowledge of Rhyl - to consider the towns past, present and future in a playful yet insightful manner. The outcomes will be used as part of an ongoing group project to regenerate the town.
